BESIEGED are certainly well-known in their home country, but the promo package had no bio, which makes it hard to get into the social details of the band. In that case, let us get on with the music.
Comatose Music is one of the most brutal labels around – and has some quality bands in the portfolio (LIVIDITY, a.o.). One of the recent activities has been the re-release of classic material (remastered). It happened with LIVIDITY’s Fetish for the Sick and with BESIEGED’s self-titled album from 1995. it will therefore ring a bell in many deathsters of yore.
Musically, what BESIEGED play can be considered «classic old school Death Metal». The tempo is mostly up, there are pretty nasty riffs in between, the vocals are unsurprisingly low and the music heavy. Beneath the Grave is especially enticing and this is always a good enough reason to go back to Death Metal roots.
Besieged was released in a limited edition of 1000 copies, so hurry up if you want to keep of for yourself.
