LIVIDITY should be known to most of you – back in 1994 Dave Kibler attacked and maimed some with the release of a 3-song promo tape. Tommy Davis joined in on drums and vocals, later so did Matt (guitar, backing vocals) and Aaron (bass, vocals).

The band’s discography features treasures such as ’95 Ritual of Mortal Impalement, 96 Rejoice in morbidity and ’97 classic Fetish for the Sick. After Aaron had left the band, Matt moved to vocals and former AVATAR bassist Mike Smith joined in the carnage. In ’99 LIVIDITY issued a live CD – Show us Your Tits – through United Guttural Records, as well as Anal Action Live ’99 by Latvian Maniacal Brutality Productions. 2001 saw the release of the Age of Clitoral Decay, 2002 …Till only the Sick Remain (Morbid Records) and a great many line-up changes in between. The 2004 line-up is Dave Kibler (guitars, bass, vocals), Matt Bishop (guitars, vocals), James Whitehurst (drums) and Chris Campbell (bass).

American Comatose Music decided to re-issue Fetish for the Sick – but this is not just a re-issue. You will of course find the hymns Pussy Lover (taken from the Great Lebowski if I am not mistaken), Lacerations of an Unseen Twat, Graveyard Delicacy, My Cock, it Bleeds or Rectal Wench, but there is a bonus 45 minutes of live sickness as summoned by LIVIDITY in Wemelskirchen, Germany (27.03.2003). the sound was recorded on location through soundboard by Thorsten W.

«Sickness» – that is the word for LIVIDITY – perhaps one of the few bands I liked at first hearing and that gets more exciting with each new spin. Graphically, LIVIDITY re not just sick, they are also twisted. The cover artwork is interesting from the artistic point of view, but conceptually idiotic. I do not care how ‘cult’ LIVIDITY may be (rest assured they are one of my favorite bands – in the end, LIVIDITY are always worth it), but there is a point in time when I just feel disgusted at all the misogyny…
