Limited to 1666 copies, Scythe Of Death is the latest release by veteran Swedish Black Metallers LORD BELIAL. The mini CD features three new tracks, as well as the controversial Purify Sweden, originally intended for the Angelgrinder album, but never released because, in the words of the band, No Fashion was too ‘chicken’.

The label wasn’t willing to include a song that people may consider racist, and in truth the lyrics are more than a little questionable, and was probably the main reason why LORD BELIAL and No Fashion parted company last year after four releases.

The mini CD begins with the title track, which was originally released on a split 7” with RUNEMAGICK a while back. The song harks back to the Kiss The Goat era, revealing the more epic and melodic side of LORD BELIAL. Black Void and Possessed By Fire, on the other hand, see LORD BELIAL express their more malevolent Black Metal side. Bound to be of interest to LORD BELIAL fans, those unfamiliar with the band might check out one of the albums first.
